How To Get Out of Your Beautiful Rut

Part 1 Jan 26
Part 2 Feb 9
After a while we all tend to write the same type of songs. And while they may be successful they become our "beautiful rut". This seminar/workshop takes the participants back to the basic music elements of songwriting and teaches a structured approach bringing variety into newer songs, an approach that will last a lifetime of writing.
__________________________

A Place To Start

Part 1 Feb 2
Part 2 Feb 16
Most of us involved in writing have "great ideas" about the songs we'd like to write but just can't seem to get started. This 2 part workshop presents two very different but equally valid ways to get the bones of a song started and then flesh it out. This workshop is especially helpful for those just beginning to write their own songs.
__________________________

The Power of Contrast

Part 1 Feb 23
Part 2 Mar 2
What would light be without shades of darkness? The same applies to any art or craft. This seminar is designed to make the participants aware of and learn how to build contrast into individual songs as well as their entire body of work.

Ken Gaines presents: "How to Get Out of Your Beautiful Rut" —
A songwriting seminar

After a while, we all tend to write the same type of song over and over. Even if we are successful with the results, it becomes our "beautiful rut." Singer-songwriter Ken Gaines will take you back to the basic music elements of songwriting in this live online workshop and teach you a structured approach to bringing variety into your songs, an approach that can be used for the rest of your life.

Adults or ages 15 and older. This will be on the Zoom platform and will be interactive.
